A proposed research map for the Department of Educational Resources, Faculty of Education, Beni Suef University in light of research priorities

Research Abstract

The objective of the research is to design guiding principles for a future research map for the Foundation of Education Department according to the priorities of the social needs and the modern research attitudes, and that will be done through identifying the aims of the research map and its preparing stages and the basics that should be followed in making it. Then, we will arrange the research priorities of the Foundation of Education department, Bani Suef University in the light of the previous identified basics. Finally, we will make a future vision for the features of a research map until 2025. The researcher uses many approaches including the descriptive approach that depends on the content analysis of the master and doctorial researches in the Foundation of Education Department, and the personal interview method to identify the major social problems in Bani Suef Governorate. Also, the researcher uses a future methodology to investigate about the important research fields that should be included in the research map by using the brainstorming technique. ‎ The researcher concluded that for making a perfect research map, we should depend on a group of factors that identify the basics of the educational scientific research. These factors are the ability to cope with the modern Knowledge society, the social research needs, and the dimensions and indicators of the development plans. According to the previous factors, we are able to identify a group of research topics for the department. Moreover, the researcher concluded a group of standards that identify the research priorities for these topics. The most influential standards are the importance of the research, the previous studies of the research, and the relationship between the research and the development needs. Finally, the researcher sets some research priorities that should be included in the research map of the Foundation of Education Department - Faculty of Education- Bani Suef University.
