In an atmosphere of deep awareness and steadfast determination, the Mental Health Department Council at the Faculty of Education, Beni Suef University, convened on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, under the leadership of Professor Walaa Rabie Mostafa, Head of the Department. The meeting reaffirmed a fundamental truth: a sound mind is the cornerstone of any nation’s renaissance.
The department’s distinguished faculty members gathered with a shared sense of scientific and humanitarian mission, firmly believing that mental health is not a luxury—it is a national and educational necessity, and a vital gateway to academic and societal excellence.
The council discussed prospects for developing academic programs, enhancing the department’s role in community service, and supporting psychological awareness initiatives both within and beyond the university. Emphasis was also placed on fostering a campus environment that nurtures students psychologically and brings out the best in them—academically, ethically, and socially.
