Faculty of Education's Participation in the International Anti-Corruption Day
Professor Dr. Osama Mahmoud Qarni, Dean of the Faculty of Education, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Fikry Banhassawi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs, participated in the celebration of the International Anti-Corruption Day, which is observed annually in December as designated by the United Nations General Assembly.
The event aims to raise awareness about the dimensions of corruption, its negative impact on development and societies, and the importance of preventing corruption. It also seeks to educate people on how corruption operates and affects communities, encouraging public participation in combating and exposing it. Additionally, the initiative promotes transparency by supporting accountability measures within governments and institutions.
The Faculty’s participation highlights the importance of engaging students, faculty members, and educators in understanding corruption at a deeper level. This, in turn, contributes to building a more informed and transparent society by educating students and preparing a generation equipped to combat corruption and uphold integrity in their future careers.
