Abstract:
The present study aimed at tracking the Development of semantic memory for primary school students in the light of the theory of processing of information among primary school students in addition to recognizing the effect of interaction between (6 years, 9 years, 11 years) and gender (male or female) in performance on the semantic memory scale for primary school students and the effect of interaction between gender (males, females) and type of stories (stories, words) (6 years, 9 years, 11 years) and the type of list (stories, words) in performance on the semantic memory scale of primary school students. The study sample consisted of (600) students and students, (200) students and students of the first grade of primary (100 males, 100 females) with an average age (six years and 8 months with a mean age (nine years and seven months), a standard deviation (2.11), and (200) students and a student in the fifth grade of primary (100) Males (100 females) with a mean age (one year and five months) and a standard deviation (2.25). The sample was selected from students with intermediate IQs (more than 90 and less than 110) in grades 1, 3 and 5. The researcher used the following tools: the measurement of the semantic memory prepared by "Miller" and the Arabization of Prof. Mohamed Hussein Said, using the Man's Intelligence for the Arabization of Fatima Hanafi (1983). The following statistical methods were used: Multivariate Analysis and Schiffe's Multivariate Test, and all treatments were performed using the following methods: Statistics using SPSS (19). The study found that there was an effect of the interaction between age (6 years, 9 years, 11 years) and gender (males and females) in performance on the scale of the semantic memory (stories-lists) of primary school students at the level of significance 0.05. (6 years, 9 years, 11 years) and the type of list (stories - lists) in the performance on the semantic memory level of primary school students at the level of significance 0.05. As well as the presence of the effect of the interaction between the sex (male - female) and the type of list (stories - lists) in the performance on the semantic memory level of the primary stage students in the third and fifth grade at the level of significance 0.01.
