Effectiveness of a Program Involving Folk Tales in Acquiring Some Cultural Values for a Child of Kindergarten

Master Abstract

Study Name of the researcher : Zeinab Arafat Goda Bahnasawy The title of the research : Effectiveness of a Program Involving Folk Tales in Acquiring Some Cultural Values for a Child of Kindergarten . The Scientific Degree : Master Degree in Education "Kindergarten" The location of the research : Faculty of Kindergarten "Cairo University" The summery : This research aims at acquiring some cultural values "moral , social , and ideological " to the child of kindergarten through a program of folk tales. The researcher used the analytical method and the experimental method. The sample of the research included 60 children divided into two groups ; the experimental group and the control group. The researcher used a test of drawing man "Good Enough Harris" and the form of the cultural social standard prepared by Fayza Yousef the form of analyzing the story prepared by Kamal Eldeen Hussein , the picture measurement of cultural values prepared by the researcher. The results have shown the effectiveness of a program of folk tales in acquiring some cultural values for the child of kindergarten. The key words: ? The folk tales ? The cultural values ? Manipulating literary and folk riddles to develop thinking skills of the kindergarten child

Summary of the Study Name of the researcher : Zeinab Arafat Goda Bahnasawy The title of the research : Manipulating literary and folk riddles to develop thinking skills of the kindergarten child. The Scientific Degree : Doctor Degree in Education "Kindergarten" The location of the research : Faculty of Kindergarten "Cairo University" The summery : This study claims to develop thinking skills both (conversion and diversion) of the kindergarten child through folk and literary riddles. Researcher has used two approaches; the analytical approach and the experimental approach. Where the study sample is consisted of 90 children (males and females) of the kindergarten. The group is divided into two experimental groups and another third One is a controller group. The researcher has used both IQ test for children prepared by Eglal serry and the cultural social level form by Fyza Yussef, children performance and movement creative test by Paul Torrance , thinking skills lists by the researcher, the narrator card by Mohamed El Nagar , the content analysis lists by the researcher, the thinking skills scale by the researcher, riddles and puzzles programs by the researcher. The outcomes have proven the effectiveness of riddles and puzzles in developing thinking skills both conversion and diversion. The key words: ? The folk riddles ? The literary riddles ?
